This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join an established engineering company. This market leading engineering business, operating in a wide range of industries including aerospace and defence.
Role and Responsibilities IT Technician
- Carry out inspection of First-off items and supplied goods using a combination of manual gauging, CMM and surface testing equipment
- Carry out in-process inspection audits and provide constructive feedback to machine shop and assembly staff.
- Ensure that inspection requirements/methods are captured at the earliest possible stage of process definition.
- Support Engineering with new product and new process introductions.
- Support the review of Final and stage drawings prior to release into production.
- Deliver annual objectives set by functional manager.
Qualifications & Requirements- IT Technician
- Knowledge of ISO9001:2008 and AS9100:2009 is desirable
- Extensive knowledge of metrology processes
- CMM experience
- Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings
- Computer literate with an understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Project.
