Quality Inspector

Position: Quality Inspector 

Location: Bath 

Job Type: Permanent

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join an established engineering company. This market leading engineering business, operating in a wide range of industries including aerospace and defence.

Role and Responsibilities – IT Technician

• Carry out inspection of First-off items and supplied goods using a combination of manual gauging, CMM and surface testing equipment
• Carry out in-process inspection audits and provide constructive feedback to machine shop and assembly staff.
• Ensure that inspection requirements/methods are captured at the earliest possible stage of process definition.
• Support Engineering with new product and new process introductions.
• Support the review of Final and stage drawings prior to release into production.
• Deliver annual objectives set by functional manager.

Qualifications & Requirements- IT Technician

• Knowledge of ISO9001:2008 and AS9100:2009 is desirable 
• Extensive knowledge of metrology processes
• CMM experience 
• Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings
• Computer literate with an understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Project.
