PACT Engineering are pleased to announce a new and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join an exceptional, highly regarded manufacturer of precision machined parts and components as a Quality Inspector, based in our Luton factory.
About the role:
The role of the Quality Inspector offers the right candidate the opportunity to build, develop and grow their career within a highly reputable and growing company.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that the parts produced are of the highest quality standards, providing customers with the best supply service possible. Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform meticulous inspections of precision machined parts and components ensuring compliance to strict Quality Standards
- Conduct 1st off, in process and final article inspections
- Verify product conformity to drawing tolerances using a variety of precision measuring tools including Micrometers, Verniers , height gauges and CMMs
- Complete final inspection reports
- Complete nonconformity reports (NCRs)
- Investigating root cause and implementing corrective actions
- Communicate with customers and outside suppliers to resolve quality issues
- The calibration and control of measuring equipment to ISO standards
- Working with Aberlink CMMs
- Adhere to and maintain ISO 9001:2015 standards

About you:
To be successful in this role you’ll have a strong knowledge and experience of precision engineering and manufacturing. You’ll have a sound Engineering background in a precision engineering environment.
You must possess the ability to read technical drawings and understand GD & T symbols. Experience of conducting visual and dimensional inspections using handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers and Verniers is required. You must have experience in the quality inspection of precision machined parts and components, operating CMMs with Aberlink is required but training can be given.
Excellent communication skills, good computer skills and attention to detail are a must. Having the ability to work both as part of a team and also take overall responsibility for your personal workload, whilst delivering excellent levels of service is essential. You’ll have excellent communication skills, be reliable and a team player with good computer skills.

We’re offering a competitive starting FTE salary of £35,000 – £37,000pa, depending on experience, along with 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays), contributory pension scheme and free onsite parking.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 2pm
Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 plus benefits, depending on experience
