The opportunity:
PERMANENT POSITION - DERBY.
High precision, low volume production engineering.
Flexible 8.5 hour day shifts - 6:00am, 7:00am OR 8:00am start.
Early finish on a Friday (5 hour shift).
Overtime available at time and half.
Competitive salary at £30,000 - £35,000per annum, with excellent training and development opportunities.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Perform dimensional, visual, and mechanical inspection using standard documentation and procedures.
Utilize precision measuring tools like Verniers, Micrometers, Trimoses, Shadowgraphs and Gauges to assist receiving inspection
First-off inspection of all parts.
Provide acceptance or rejection for compliance to established standards and processes.
Read and understand engineering drawings to thoroughly and precisely inspect parts.
Work with the Inspection team to rectify issues.
Producing First Article Inspection reports (FAIR).
The ideal candidate:
Previous experience working within a similar position, within an engineering environment.
Must be able to confidently interpret engineering drawings.
Previous experience using measuring tools to complete inspections is essential.
Previous experience within Aerospace or Automotive is preferred, but not essential.
Due to the nature of the position, the candidate must be a motivated individual, with a high attention to detail.
