The company are a specialist manufacturer of precision engineered parts and equipment which they supply to a range of industries and are looking to appoint someone to manage the quality function.
Reporting into the Managing Director this role would have responsibility for all aspects of Quality and Health and Safety along with management of a small team including quality inspectors.
This could suit an experienced Quality Manager who is looking for a move into a dynamic company where they can have full autonomy for the quality function or perhaps a Quality Engineer or Inspector who is looking to take the step up into a more senior role.
Ideally you will have experience of working in a technical engineering and manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and working to ISO quality and health and safety standards.

Job Role
Management and delivery of all quality related processes and procedures across the company and delivery and maintenance of those standards.
Monitoring auditing and management of all processes and procedures related to Quality Management
Take responsibility for the delivered quality of products and components purchased or manufactured using appropriate inspection/quality control methods.
Work with customers and clients and sub-contractors to maintain product quality standards.
Management of route cause analysis process and documentation of non-conformance
Management and upkeep of QMS systems
Providing QA support for Job Costing, Product evaluation and R&D programmes
Health and safety reviews and risk mitigation
Management of quality inspection teams
Skills and Experience
Strong background in quality management within an engineering or technical environment
Experience of managing Health and Safety (NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications ideally)
An understanding of product assembly and/or sub-contracted machined part production would be beneficial.
Understanding of COSHH requirements
Experience of carrying out Route Cause Analysis and NCRS
Strong communication and people skills
