Our client is a global leader in the manufacturing of advanced materials technology and are currently seeking an experience Quality manager to join their lovely team based just outside of Leicester
The role of the Quality Manager is for providing direction in the quality strategy, managing the staff and testing departments. Ensuring quality records and customer satisfaction of productions are maintained whilst keeping to ISO9001 Quality systems and help with moving into ISO TS 16949 and EN9100 quality systems.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead problem solving activities, using appropriate tools (such as 5 Phase or 8D), improvement techniques (such as Six Sigma) and quality planning techniques (FMEA, PCP) and personally lead the resolution of major issues.
- Conduct management reviews of the quality system at least semi-annually; maintain records of quality reviews and actions resulting from these reviews
- Lead the plant towards new ISO TS 16949 and EN9100 certifications and quality systems.
- Establish key focus on internal and external customer satisfaction by understanding and implementing material and system requirements
- Act as primary resource in the research and response to customer complaints, rejections, and requests for corrective action to enhance positive customer and supplier relationships in a cooperative environment.
- Ensure the QC Test Laboratories release accurate test results whilst meeting department lead time metrics.
- Preparing quality plans/manuals on existing and new products.
- Manages quality audits, whether system, customer, or supplier.
Skills & Experience:
- Aerospace or Automotive Quality Management experience
- Proven experience with moving and implementing a new quality system. (Essential)
- Intimate & working knowledge of EN9100 or TS 16949 quality standards.
This role will be within normal office working hours Monday - Friday based just outside of Leicester.
Salary is £55k negotiable dependant on experience.
