Our team in Lutterworth currently has an opening for a Quality Manager
Purpose of Position
To effectively manage and maintain the Quality System at Lutterworth including monitoring product quality and customer complaint recording and resolution. Maintaining registration with external quality bodies and ensuring these are done to the highest quality. To provide excellent product and customer support through technical knowledge and a focus on safety.
As a Quality Manager, it will be your responsibility to:
- Review, update and maintain Quality, Business manuals & product specification for Lutterworth Depot.
- Maintain and comply with the relevant standards and external bodies to meet or exceed requirements to maintain and improve current quality standards, whilst ensuring that the needs of the business comply with the company policy e.g., ISO, BPD, HACCP
- Implement improvement and corrective actions resulting from customer and supplier complaints, maintain customer and supplier complaints systems
- To prepare and assist BSI audits
- To manage and monitor the production and recording of C of As
- To develop and maintain relationships with HACCP team members and HACCP policy and procedures i.e., glass, jewellery, housekeeping and Maintain and improve BRC accreditation
- To manage laboratory and ensure compliance to site procedures and testing criteria
- Use influence and knowledge to develop and improve working practices within depot
- Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by the appropriate line managers from time to time, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, and providing they are within the post holders skills and ability.
- Control of quality procedures and oversight of document control
- Final sign off and oversight outsourced activity under GDP scope & API customer verification and oversight of internal audits for food safety, QMS and GDP activity.
- Maintaining compliance and up to date knowledge of food safety & active substance GDP regulations & requirements, acting as the sites Designated Person for the safe storage of API’s.
- Maintain and develop technical literature in line with short- and long-term commercial goals
- Technical sales support including sample management
- Review test methods, procedures, and equipment calibration at the site.
