The Quality Manager will lead the ISO9001 accreditation along with all aspects of maintaining and supporting the company in product & process improvements. Actively manage quality from supplier incoming goods, in process manufacturing and customer issues. Working with cross functional teams to resolve any supplier related concerns they will also take the lead for New Product Development and change management across the site ensuring support for critical projects.
- Lead key supplier strategic activities and interface with Sourcing on forward looking roadmaps, including development of new suppliers and/or technologies, local activities, qualification, productivity pipeline cost reduction, components qualification, and supplier capacity verification.
- Initiate supplier-related problem solving to address performance issues as necessary
- Drive containment activities
- Communicate with relevant internal/external contacts and ensure timely closure and effectiveness
- Notify suppliers quality issues, drive supplier report, verify and assure suppliers’ effective containment action, root cause analysis, and corrective actions/preventive actions
- Provide active support during reviews and supplier selection process
- Review and critique on supplier processes/product
- Perform on-site process audit at supplier to verify; suppliers’ permanent corrective actions, evaluate suppliers’ quality system, verify capacity, process capability and risk assessments
- Handles Supplier Quality items in internal audits, customer audits and site audits
- Develops and communicates the supplier on their quality performance
- Defines actions in case a supplier is not meeting the quality expectation and targets
- Ensure best practice is adopted within the supply chain
- Support management by reviewing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), while checking work and tracking progress
- Communication and alignment across regions
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- Experience implementing and maintaining ISO9001
- Ideally from a manufacturing background with experience of electro-mechanical assemblies
- Hands on approach to problem solving.
- H&S experience would be good but not essential.
- Manage ISO9001 certification.
- Lead quality investigations both on the supplier and customer side.
- Manage product quality from incoming inspection through to customer failures
- Drive continuous improvement across all functions within the business.
- Report monthly to the senior management team on quality issue
- Support on managing the H&S systems & documentation.
