The Role –
Our 5* client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced New-Build Quality Manager in the South West.
The role will include:
- Company Audits of both work in progress and completed properties.
- Promote effective procedures for managing quality and resolution of items raised to allow production to complete all works within program timescales.
- Monitor overall construction performance with regard to technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements.
- Identify, record and follow up on any remediation requiring immediate action on site.
- Work with Quality Director and managers to identify approaches and methods to improve overall quality.
- Identify areas within the design that requires additional information to assist the site teams and avoid inconsistency and commercial issues.
- To perform defect investigations as and when problems arise (including customer complaints where applicable).
Requirements
- Proven experience within the House Building/Construction Industry.
- Working at NVQ Level 6 Construction Management
- Detailed knowledge of the Building Regulations, house building standards (NHBC, LABC) and latent defect warranty schemes.
- Worked as or experienced working with Building Inspectors.
- Commercial awareness.
- IT Literate.
- Inquisitive and problem solving skills
