Quality Manager (Steel Fabrication / Welding)

Are you an experienced Quality Manager within a Steel Fabrication or Heavy Manufacturing environment?
Do you have knowledge of EN 1090 and ISO 3834 standards?
Our client design and manufacture bespoke fabrications for a variety of sectors including Rail & Nuclear, and due to continuous growth, we are looking to recruit a Quality Manager to their team.
As the Quality Manager for their Manufacturing site, you would become an integral part of the business working closely with the Head of QSHE and managing a small team.
You will be responsible for:

• Manage a team of around 4, including 2 x Welding Inspectors, 1 x Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) and 1 x Document Controller.
• Maintain and Improve the QMS to ISO 9001
• Ensure compliance to EN 1090 & ISO 3834
• Analyse current Manufacturing processes and identify areas of improvement to implement new procedures.
• Collate quality documentation and create client packs.
• Resolve issues that arise from client acceptance.
• Investigate, resolve, and implement corrective and preventative actions.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven Quality Management experience within Steel Fabrication / Heavy Manufacturing
• Strong Mechanical Engineering or Welding knowledge
• RWC, IWE, CSWIP experience or certificates desirable but not essential
• Knowledge of EN 1090 / ISO 3834

Location - Urmston
Salary - circa 50k - 60k
