Temporary contract, central Basingstoke based for 15-20 weeks

£12.50-13.50ph

Overall Responsibility

The Quality Tech Clerk will be responsible for control and to provide support for Quality Assurance and Quality control function keeping records or sending out correspondence.

To uphold this overall responsibility, the following job activities will be completed efficiently and effectively:

• Primary contact: To liaise with clients QC representative, Project Managers, QA Department and HSE, Stores, including third party inspectorate when required.


• Records: To compile AFC Register and maintain all incoming Project Fabrication Drawings Including Drawing Register by stamping, dating, project number, Client. To up-date and maintain the PQR's Register Matrix for ASME IX, BS EN 15614-1-2. Data Completion from fabrication Weld History records for review and Acceptance by the QC department / Welding Quality Inspector / RWC. This may include Client/ 3rd Party review when required.


• The accumulation of signed and completed QC forms by all departments. Completion and signed Inspection Quality Plans. On-going inspections.


• Employee records: To up-date and maintain Welder qualifications / Prolongation Register Matrix ASME IX, BS EN 9606-1. To compile ASME IX, BS EN 9606-1 welder 6 monthly Prolongations for review and sign-up including up-date of Welders Register Matrix.


• Projects: Archiving of project data storage including BMS date storage system Final quality data books completion and PDF Dossier Handover to Project Management. To open new project file within data system/drive/ data bases. The accumulation of Project specific documentation requirements including Certification and Calibration of Consumables, Materials, NDT reports, Inspection Reports.


• Policies & procedures: Compilation of standard Quality Dossier Section 1 to Section 10. To work within the ISO9001 processes and Implementation of company Quality QA Forms Procedures and processes.

Required Competencies

• Confident and assertive communication skills, both written and spoken


• Engineering/Construction/Services background would be an advantage


• Full confidence in all MS Office Programmes including lean office principles.
