SalaryReed Food and FMCG are looking to speak to Quality or Technical Managers in the North London area. This opportunity is for a Quality Manager who is looking to step up into a Technical Manager role or an experienced Technical Manager who can join the business and hit the ground running.

Job Title: Quality/Technical Manager
Location: North London
Pay: £40,000 - £52,000 Per Annum (Dependent on experience)
Immediate Start
Responsibilities:
Support and advise the company on food safety, integrity, legality or quality issues and provide general technical support for all relevant activities on site. To keep the company updated on any changes to food legislation or food authenticity risks that affects the sites operation, finished product or raw materials that are used.
Implement and monitor the company’s food safety and quality policy through regular Internal Audits of the QMS system plus GMP, Fabrication and Hygiene Audits. Monitor and maintain the internal audit schedule.
Update the Quality Management System to meet internal, customer and new BRCGS accreditation requirements.
Record and monitor all the complaints to identify trends. Design and implement precautionary measures to avoid or reduce the complaints via root cause analysis (RCA) where applicable.
Person specification:
Has a ‘factory first’ mindset to support the Factory Operations and Engineering teams, where necessary challenging compliance whilst also offering possible solutions.
Will be able to communicate well with their team and the wider team. Acknowledging that a positive working environment with clear and achievable goals and targets should be the foundation.
Would have the ability to work independently, seeking advice where required, and maintaining timely dialogue with the Director and other members of the Management team.
