A leading German energy firm is searching for a talented Quantitative Market Risk Analyst to join their team. You'll be involved in modelling and risk assessment to play a crucial role in safeguarding their growing portfolio.
Here's what you'll do:
- Build robust risk models: Collaborate with other teams to build and maintain strong risk models for energy assets, especially Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreements (RES PPAs). Fine-tuning these models is essential.
- Value complex energy contracts: Develop clear methods to accurately value long-term energy deals, ensuring they comply with financial regulations.
- Push valuation boundaries: Extend how we value long-term deals by creating new methods that go beyond standard timeframes.
- Think commercially: Help develop new hedging tools and market products that benefit the business strategy.
I am looking for someone with:
- A strong quantitative background, ideally with experience in quantitative risk or trading and the energy sector.
- Excellent analytical and research skills, with a desire to learn and stay updated on industry trends.
- Strong understanding of market risk concepts, financial modelling, and relevant statistics.
- The ability to collaborate effectively and communicate complex information clearly.
