Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial matters, including cost estimation, budget management, and contract administration, to ensure the successful delivery of our highway’s projects and resurfacing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for highways projects and resurfacing works.
- Monitor project costs, expenditures, and financial performance to ensure adherence to budgets and profitability targets.
- Negotiate and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct regular cost analysis and risk assessments to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Manage variations and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
- Provide financial advice and support to project teams, including identifying cost-effective solutions and optimizing resource allocation.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate progress claims and invoices to clients.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve commercial and contractual issues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on highways projects and resurfacing.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management principles.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
- Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or a related field.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
