Introduction:Exciting opportunities await as we invite a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join my clients team! This position is based in and around the Leeds area.Main Responsibilities:Collaborate with my clientsleadership and project teams, providing valuable support.
Work closely with colleagues and clients to understand their requirements.
Ensure effective commercial management, maximizing gross margin (refer to Key Metrics KPIs).
Maintain commercial control over allocated accounts/projects.
Manage receipts, payments, and cash flow, overseeing subcontract accounts meticulously.
Prepare progress reports for client and subcontract accounts.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, attending briefing meetings as required.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and profit improvement.
Assist in the contract review process, negotiating contracts and work schedules.
Prepare bills of quantities, pricing schedules, and contract documents for tender.
Quantify services, compile tender packages, and manage tenders and requests for quotations.
Develop project quotations (costs, quantities) and project programs or Gantt charts as needed.
Compile cost estimates, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts.
Assign work to subcontractors, ensuring purchase orders are vetted before project commencement.
Manage costs throughout a project and participate in valuation and "Final Account" discussions.
Manage key suppliers and subcontractors, including maintaining price lists.
Ideal Candidate:Previous experience in a similar role.
RICS-accredited degree.
Project management skills.
Awareness of JCT, NEC3, NEC4, and ICE advantageous.
Practical application of contractual knowledge.
Strong numerical and data analysis experience.
