We are working on behalf of our long-term client who are currently looking for a Payroll Manager to join and lead their established Payroll team. The role will reports into the Director and will have 10 direct reports. We are looking to speak with Senior Payroll leaders with Client Payroll experience, who have managed a team previously. Including appraisals, identifying, and supporting individual development and training. You must possess strong communication skills and the ability to motivate whilst providing a clear vision in terms of direction and work allocation.
As a key member of the management team this role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational running of the payroll department, as well as supporting on Projects.
Overview:
o Advising and supporting clients with escalated queries or more complex payroll issues
o Workforce planning: Monitor workloads and client allocations within the Payroll Team, ensuring that work is well managed and appropriately allocated within the team.
o Taking responsibility for monitoring deadlines and milestones for client payrolls allocated within the team
o Provide supervision and task support to the wider Payroll Team, sharing your fantastic knowledge.
o Strong focus on service delivery, reviewing and implementing departmental procedures, including compliance procedures in order to improve the quality service
o Support the Payroll Team in managing the introduction or transfer of new clients, including the set-up of new clients on internal software and the set-up of payroll schemes for clients.
o Oversee the end of year Final Full payment submissions and the production of P60’s
