As part of our clients continued growth, they are seeking a talented and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Position Overview: An experienced Quantity Surveyor specialising in housing infrastructure/groundworks packages, for two new housing developments in Leeds and Hull.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role, ensuring cost control, budget management, and adherence to financial regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for delivering successful projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for housing and civils projects.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis and value engineering to optimise project costs.
- Manage and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor project budgets, identifying and addressing any variations in costs.
- Prepare and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Provide regular financial reports and updates to project teams and senior management.
- Participate in risk assessment and mitigation activities related to project costs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in housing and civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and project delivery processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Chartered Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or working towards it is advantageous.
