Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with experience of railway civils to join the commercial team of a successful, supportive and growing rail civil engineering company based in Leeds.

As a Quantity Surveyor, your role will require you to supply reports and relevant information to the senior commercial team.

Responsibilities as a Quantity Surveyor:

· Maintaining and developing relationships with clients

· Monitoring budgets and contract costs

· Ensuring compliance in relation to contracts and recording all contact records

· Identifying and evaluating financial risks

· Producing final accounts

· Communicating with suppliers for procurement, negotiation and placing of orders

· Other tasks appropriate to the role as required

Requirements as a Quantity Surveyor:

· Experience of working in a contracting environment

· Rail experience

· A HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying/ RICS or CES (or equivalent) – Desirable

· NEC contract knowledge – desirable

· Good communication skills and an ability to work on your own initiative
