The main duties of the Radiographer - CT/MRI role include:
- Engage actively in the effective and safe functioning of the Imaging Department, ensuring a reliable and top-tier service for all patients and visitors.
- Perform general and specialized radiographic procedures within the established scope of competency, as authorized by the Clinical Services Manager - Imaging / Clinical Lead, adhering to high technical and quality benchmarks. This involves evaluating patients and understanding clinical needs to decide on suitable radiographic methods.
- Conduct imaging assessments following departmental operational protocols and guidelines, employing techniques that minimize radiation exposure to both patients and staff, while ensuring the production of superior diagnostic images.
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- Completion of a Diagnostic Radiography Degree or Diploma.
- Registration with the Healthcare Professionals Council (HCPC).
- Background or training in general radiography.
- Proficiency in IT systems such as RIS/PACS.
- Understanding of the healthcare service sector, its systems, and operational processes.
- Familiarity with the College of Radiographers' and HCPC's Code of Conduct and Accountability.
- Knowledgeable about Radiation Regulations.
- HCPC-registered professional with significant experience in MRI/CT.
