RAN Performance & Optimisation Engineer - 18 month FTC - Reading (2 days/week in office)

The Role:
The role is primarily focused on proactively identifying and resolve coverage and Performance issues before they become service Impacting maximising the utilisation and quality of the current technology coverage footprints.
The desired outcome is to achieve a high throughput of resolutions to performance issues, reducing service impacts with clearer end to end management and responsibility of the overall process from within MBNL.
What you can expect to be doing:

• Conduct remote desktop analysis using predicted and measured coverage data, performance data and arial surveys.
• Generate evidence packs to support resolution activities.
• Working cross functionally with internal teams and our Shareholders to deliver best in class results.
• Ensure processes are reviewed, optimised, and documented using the Continual Improvement processes
• Attend regular governance calls and provide regular reporting updates on progress, risks and issues.
• Technical SME for RAN Performance & Optimisation
• Regular use of tools & Systems including Remedy, Atoll, Metricell, Site tracker, GIS, Data visualisation such as Power BI/Tableau, XCAL/XCAP Analysis etc

• Experience of working in an Operations environment
• Strong RAN knowledge across all technologies with a Performance & Optimisation background
• Experience with tools such as Atoll, XCAL/XCAP, GIS
• KPI and SLA management and understanding of how they are used to measure customer experience
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations and people under pressure.
