EQUANS are recruiting for a Rapod Responder (Cleaner) to be based in Sir John Thursby Community College, Burnley, working 30 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £16,723.20 per annum
Hours worked will be Monday to Friday, 9.00am till 15.00pm
What will you deliver?
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness at the premises.
1. Respond in a timely manner to any issues with the delivery of routine and non-routine cleaning services internal and external. Provide cover and undertake remedial cleaning tasks as necessary.
2. Ensure cleaning materials and power cleaning equipment is operated in a safe and economic manner, and in accordance with their instructions for use.
3. Ensure that cleaning equipment and designated storage areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
4. Ensure adequate supplies of cleaning materials and other consumable items are available.
5. Report to the Caretaker any damage to school property, or potential hazards, or any issues that are likely to affect the task to be undertaken, undertake small repairs.
6. Act as Key holder. Ensure the security of the allocated areas on completion of the cleaning tasks, including switching off lights and heating to conserve energy.
7. Carry out routine and nonroutine specified tasks to prescribed standards as instructed by authorised persons.
8. Use cleaning materials and operate power cleaning equipment in a safe and economic manner and in accordance with their safe instructions for use.

Experience
Experience of industry/Public cleaning services. E
Skills/Ability/Knowledge
Able to read and follow instructions on the use of cleaning materials and equipment E
Have a understanding of basic health and Safety principles E
Able to attain a consistent specified standard of cleaning E
Able to organise his/her own time to meet individual work schedules (Patches) E
Able to operate power operated cleaning equipment
Education/Qualification
BICSc Cleaning Operatives Proficiency Certificate D
Personal Qualities
Be sufficiently fit to be able to undertake the specified tasks E
Capable of working with minimum supervision E
Work as a team player and pass on knowledge to others E
Flexible and willing E
