JOB PURPOSE
The role is responsible for the negotiation, acquisition, orders follow-up and excess declarations of sampling Raw Materials (both fabrics and trims) for the RTW collection. The role covers the management of the inbound/outbound of sampling RMs to and from warehouse, as well as issuing PO and invoices, declaring seasonal sampling leftover. This role is also responsible to create RM codes in FlexPLM, update RM details, onboarding new suppliers and adding/maintaining RM sustainable attributes.
The RM Senior Manager will liaise with the Raw Material development, design, product development, product engineering and finance functions, to ensure the optimisation of Raw Materials and the contribution to company profit
RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Develop a robust sampling procurement strategy, leading the development of policies and procedures
- Build & establish collaborative partnerships with suppliers, including timely 2 way communications, feedback on performance, risk/opportunity mitigation/creation
- Own the end to end management activities of the supplier base (including selecting & on-boarding, negotiation, matrix & risk management, capacity management, performance & exit)
- Create RM code and details in FlexPLM and maintain the system updated
- Manage & monitor budget provisioning activity
Feedback & Reporting
- Manage the seasonal/annual review of sampling excess
- Review supplier performance management feedback & agree appropriate response mechanism

PERSONAL PROFILE
- 5- 10 years previous experience in managing Raw Materials in a similar fashion company
- In depth knowledge of fabrics production processes as well as familiarity with the suppliers landscape in order to provide solutions
- University Degree (Textile engineering education or equivalent)
- Proficient in Microsoft office , Flex PLM, pre-order management tool and Delivery tracking
- Strong influencing/negotiation skills
- Strong industry knowledge
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian would be an asset
