NET Recruit are partnering with a respectable and successful client, in the financial services and accounting sector, who are searching for a R&D Tax Assistant Manager to join their team located in the Southampton area. With several years of experience and ongoing success under their belt, this excellent business are continually expanding their work force, inviting ambitious and knowledgeable professionals to join their team.
This role will deal specifically with R&D Tax, supporting an extensive portfolio of clients to correctly process their taxes in relation to R&D projects. It will require a subject matter expert and a highly experienced Tax professional with specific R&D specialities. The position holder will be working within a highly supportive environment with an outstanding team who will facilitate development within your career.
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
While in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
* Being responsible for a substantial client portfolio, proactively identifying opportunities for existing clients to generate further revenue by selling in new services
* Providing comprehensive tax services to clients
* Supporting on and, when appropriate, taking the lead on tax related projects
* Developing new customer relationships, seeking out fresh opportunities for business
* Being the point of contact and dealing with any customer enquiries, ensuring that any issues that are not resolved are signposted to the most relevant professional internally
* Acting as a key point of contact for tax related matters
* Additional duties as and when required by senior management
What You Will Need To Apply:
The ideal candidate for this role will have had several years' experience within a tax role that is relevant and have extensive knowledge about the varying kinds of tax, including specifically R&D tax relief and wider Corporate Tax areas, and feel confident in advising and communicating information on these to various individuals. The candidate should possess a relevant qualification such as CTA or ACA and possess a degree. You should have exceptional communication skills, both verbally and written in order to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders and clients. You will also need to be able to work both independently and be self-motivated but also work well as part of a team.
