Daily Rate: £650 - £850PD (Negotiable for candidates with extensive Investment banking and technical experience)
Job Description:
Our client, a leading Investment bank, is seeking a skilled React Developer with experience in Scala for a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in both front-end and back-end development, with previous experience in an Investment banking environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain user-facing features using React.js (60% of the role).
- Implement back-end services and integrate APIs using Scala (40% of the role).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
- Ensure high-quality graphical standards and brand consistency.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with React.js.
- Solid experience with Scala and back-end development.
- Previous experience working within the financial services sector, preferably within Investment banking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Contract Details:
- Competitive daily rate: £650 - £850 (negotiable for candidates with significant Investment banking and technical experience)
- Immediate start
- Potential for extension based on performance and project needs
