About the Role
A fantastic opportunity to join a high performing GP surgery, looking to welcome a new medical receptionist to the team.
We are seeking someone to work 16 hours per week:
- Mondays 2:30pm-6:30pm
- Tuesdays 2.30pm-6.30pm
- Thursdays 1pm-5pm
- Fridays 2:30pm-6:30pm.

- £10.42p/h, rising to £11.44p/h in April

Job Summary
As a receptionist, you will be part of a busy team, and the face of the practice; together with your colleagues you will be supporting the clinical team in caring for our patients.
The role is varied, as no two calls are the same, and you will be responsible for making sure patients are dealt with in an efficient and friendly manner.
About the Candidate
You will be
- Booking appointments for patients with the appropriate medical professional.
- Dealing with general enquiries from patients and visitors.
- Assisting patients to complete new registration forms.
- Supporting colleagues to maintain an efficient and friendly atmosphere.
- Administering the procedure for repeat prescriptions.
- Assisting with any other administration required.
You are
- A customer service professional with a kind and courteous manner.
- You will have experience of working face to face and on the telephone with customers.
- You have high levels of accuracy and understand the importance of getting information correct at all times.
- You are friendly and understanding with patients and offer support where you can.
- You will be used to a fast-paced environment with a varied task list and tight deadlines.
- You understand the importance of confidentiality and work efficiently with your colleagues to get the job done.
- Experience of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel is essential.
About Us
Hilltops Medical Centre was founded in 1983, we are an established training practice of 16000 patients.
Our practice is approved to train fully qualified doctors who wish to specialise in general practice, we are also approved to train medical students who spend up to six weeks with us seeing patients along with their mentor.
We are part of the Watling Street Network (PCN) and have a community team including nurses, social prescribers and social work assistant supporting our patient populations.
