I am currently recruiting for a Receptionist/ Administration Officer on behalf of my client, a leading public sector organisation based in Wakefield (WF10).
My client is seeking a Administration Office to assist a Team Manager within Adult Social Care. The position would be based at Pioneer Court, Castleford and parking is available on site.
Duties of the Receptionist/ Administration Officer will include:
- To act as a first point of contact for users and visitors to buildings, dealing independently with routine enquiries and requests for information from a range of colleagues, partners and members of the public
- To provide an effective reception and administrative business support service by providing a range of administration tasks which includes answering telephone enquiries, data input, typing, diary management, photocopying and producing correspondence
- Co-ordinate calendars for conference and training room bookings.
- Monitor and respond appropriately to reception / team mailbox enquiries received by email.
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing post.
- Ensuring stationery supplies for stock / stationery from catalogues and liaise with suppliers
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Knowledge and understanding of a range of business and financial administration systems and procedures.
Knowledge and understanding of a range of business and financial administration systems and procedures.
Knowledge of IT systems required for the role e.g. Microsoft Office programmes or other equivalent systems.
Experience in a customer facing role.
Experience of working under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Relevant experience of working within a similar function. Experience of delivering a service to meet the needs of internal and external customers and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to take minutes- desirable
- Experience of diary management.
- Ability to organise and prioritise your own workload.
This post is full time 37 hours per week Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm, with a pay rate of £12.18 per hour PAYE. Once you have completed your induction into position, working from home can commence for up to 3 days per week.
