Two exciting vacancies have arisen to work within the Food and More/Initial Contact team as RECEPTIONISTS to offer administration support.
We are looking to appoint an organised, positive person with great customer service skills and plenty of enthusiasm to work on our Front Desks at our Huddersfield and Dewsbury offices. The post holders will support our Food and More/Initial Contact services.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a well-established locally based Charity who help households facing homelessness and food poverty. Our Receptionists are a key part of a small team helping ensure everyone who contacts us feels welcome, valued and supported. Our Receptionists also help with administrative tasks, deal directly with client enquiries and liaise with other Fusion Housing services.
The role includes:
- Welcoming new and existing clients, collecting and collating all relevant information.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential case management records. and contribute to monitoring information for the service.
- Ensuring clients are effectively referred to Fusions services as appropriate.
- Making onward referrals and signpost where appropriate to other sources of help, such as statutory and non-statutory agencies.
- Ensuring impartiality and confidentiality when dealing with customers.
- Liaising with staff delivering other Fusion services to ensure effective running of drop-in and appointment sessions for both Initial Contact and Food and More staff.
- Monitor reception and interview spaces ensuring that they are maintained to a good standard, secure and accessible; report issues as appropriate for Health and Safety purposes.
The qualities we’re looking for:
- A positive, enthusiastic and approachable attitude with a sense of curiosity.
- Someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, dynamic team where people support each other and are happy to get stuck in.
- Being able to work on own initiative and enjoy the challenge of an ever-changing workload.
- Have good administrative and IT skills.
- Be able to plan and prioritise their own work effectively.
- Have experience of working directly with the public, perhaps in a Foodbank or Advice Service.
- Be good at communicating with a wide range of people.
