Job description

We are now looking to recruit a Reconciliations Administrator to join our ever-growing operations department. The purpose of the role is to carry out processing for all aspects of the reconciliation of client money and asset positions.

The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Reconciliation of bank accounts vs ledger positions;
  • Reconciliation of custodian stock holdings vs ledger positions;
  • Producing reconciliation break reports for investigation by operational teams;
  • Answering queries from operational teams relating to reconciliations and exceptions
  • Completing reconciliations in accordance with FCA CASS rules where applicable and calculating funding requirements.
  • Completing reconciliations in accordance with written procedures, reviewing and updating procedures regularly
  • Timely and appropriate escalation of actual or potential breaches, issues and aged items
  • Support project implementations, fixes and upgrades through testing of software and assisting with the definition of processes and procedures
  • Co-operate with teams around the business to ensure efficient operating processes and a positive client experience
  • Completion of add hoc tasks as requested by Team Leader / Manager
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and automation, such as through the use of Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

Knowledge & Experience:

  • You will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A*-C (or equivalent) including English and Maths
  • Conscientious and methodical approach to work
  • Team player with positive approach
  • Ability to work to deadlines, at times unsupervised
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Understand operational business processes
  • Awareness of operational risk principles
  • Knowledge of reconciliation techniques and FCA CASS rules
