We have been working in partnership with mainstream drug and alcohol services for more than six years to support access to structured treatment, and to offer group spaces and 121 support to LGBT people making changes around drug and alcohol use.
As such, we are now looking for a Recovery Co-ordinator to join our team on a full-time basis for a fixed term contract until 31st March 2025.

The Role
As a Recovery Co-ordinator, you will support the development of our service for LGBT people in Liverpool making drug- and alcohol-related changes.
Overseeing the set-up of a new service, you will work with stakeholders, commissioners, community resources and partners in Liverpool to establish an LGBT Foundation Recovery Programme and community.
Providing regular training and shadowing opportunities to staff delivering the service, you will ensure knowledge and skills are prioritised and facilitate peer support groups.
You will line manage and support sessional workers and volunteers, providing one to one support, team meetings, and operational support to all delivering the service.
Additionally, you will:
- Provide outreach work to ensure referrals
- Undertake triage and assessment activities
- Manage brief intervention work and extended brief interventions
About You
To be considered as a Recovery Co-ordinator, you will need:
- Experience of supporting individuals with varying levels of needs
- Experience of communicating with people who are distressed and/or have barriers to communication
- Experience of producing risk assessment and safety plans
- Experience of working in a service delivery role
- Experience of providing training and support to staff, volunteers, or students
- Experience of working with partners and building strong relationships
- Experience of working with data and completing reports
- Safeguarding training
- Resilience and an existing support network due to the varying levels of risk and health and wellbeing needs of those supported
