Full time 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Monday – Saturday, earlies, lates and long days
Permanent

We’re looking for a Theatre Practitioner - Recovery to join our Theatre at

The Princess Grace Hospital is recognised as one of the leading multidisciplinary private hospitals in London. The eight theatres at the Princess Grace provide a vibrant, exciting, and professional environment where the advance equipment and technology is second to none including a hybrids theatre, a robotic surgery suite and 3 laminar flow theatres for orthopaedic surgery.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner in the Theatres, you’ll be required to support surgery within the department. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a growing new venture.

The Theatre Recovery Practitioner is responsible and accountable for providing high quality clinical care to patients following surgical procedures. To ensure that professional and national standards are met in accordance to the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), Health Professions Council (HPC) and HCA’s Code of Conduct. You will be responsible for the total nursing care of individual patients within the recovery area and ensure recovery criteria is adhered to before discharging patients, prepare the recovery in readiness to admit patients after surgical procedures.

What you’ll bring:

  • 6 months Theatre recovery experience
  • Current HCPC/NMC Registration
  • To ensure safety for patients and colleagues
  • Help to control cross infection by observing departmental policy regarding dress, the maintenance of a clean working environment, decontamination and sterilisation procedures and asepsis.
  • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with Consultants and other health professionals and to ensure that prescribed treatment is carried out.
  • Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.
