Recovery Practitioner
We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Practitioner/Nurse to join our Operating Theatres department at The London Clinic. This post is located at our main hospital site in London, and we are offering a competitive salary range of £35,743 - £46,438 per annum plus unsociable hours shift enhancements.

Job Profile
As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Recovery Practitioner/Nurse is responsible for the assessment, evaluation and implementation of care given to patients within the recovery room.
- Job Location: This role is located at our main hospital facility in London, W1G 6BW (Close to Regents Park & Baker Street tube stations).
- Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
- Shift Pattern: We operate flexible shift patterns with participation in the on-call rota. ; either Long Days - 3x shifts p/week (0730-2100 or 0900-2230) OR combination of Early & Late shifts - 5x shifts p/week, 1 week of earlies (0730-1530) and then a week of Late shifts (1430-2230).
- Salary: The attractive salary range for this role is £35,743 - £46,438 per annum, plus shift enhancements, and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Key Duties
- Work as a skilled member of the recovery team, carrying out nursing duties within the recovery area, and providing the highest standard of patient care.
- Develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge necessary to provide holistic, evidence based nursing care, following PREP/CPD requirements.
- Participate in the monitoring and maintenance of standards in accordance with the Clinic policies and procedures, as well as maintain custody and checking of controlled drugs daily.
- Communicate effectively and responsibly at all times with colleagues within the multi-disciplinary setting.
- Maintain accurate and legible written and electronic records of care, ensuring that the safety, privacy and dignity of the patient is maintained at all times.
Skills & Experience
- RGN / ODP qualified practitioner (NMC or HCPC registration).
- Proven experience in recovery and/or intensive care setting.
- Understanding of the post-operative needs of patients.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure and flexibly as part of a team.
- Highly motivated individual who is Punctual, adaptable and continually maintains a professional image.
