We are seeking a Recovery Technician to join our clients Claim department based in Portsmouth. The role involves specialising in recovering funds from insurers and third parties liable for insurance claims, ultimately reducing clients’ expenditure.
- Office based initially; hybrid options available after 6 months.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Commit to providing the highest level of customer care and satisfaction.
- Proactively manage outstanding recovery plans while ensuring compliance.
- Maintain accurate records and liaise with Claims Teams and Team Managers to ensure procedures align with guidelines and requirements.
- Develop good working relationships internally and with third parties such as other insurers, brokers and solicitors.
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to work due to the nature of the company’s business.
- Exhibit self-motivation and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Interact proactively with teams, managers, and controllers to demonstrate the technical aspects of the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
- Competent level of verbal and written communication.
- Good understanding of travel insurance products, including the principles of claims assessment, recovery processes, and reserves management.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays as required by the rota.
