We are looking for a Refurbishment Assistant to join our growing equipment refurbishment team!

 

GIS Healthcare has a new vacancy for a full time Refurbishment Assistant to join them at their site in Mitcheldean. This is a great opportunity to join an established and supportive team, making a difference to people in Gloucestershire.

 

The main responsibilities of this role involve the refurbishment, processing, packing and distribution of healthcare goods and equipment.

 

 

About the Role:

 

GIS Healthcare plays an important role in supporting the care sector in Gloucestershire. We are responsible for the distribution, delivery, collection, maintenance and minor adaptations of medical and telecare equipment to support people being discharged from hospital and to help people to remain independent in their own home. The service is delivered on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council and One Gloucestershire. 

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Unloading medical aids for refurbishment from vans
  • Operating machinery to sanitise scrap items
  • Loading & unloading of equipment through the refurbishment process
  • Using a scanner to move items to their correct locations on internal systems
  • Ensuring Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to when undertaking the role
  • The routine renovation of products in compliance with the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Reporting plant or machinery breakdowns to the Team Leader

About You:

 

The ideal candidate will have worked in a production or warehouse environment and have experience of these processes and procedures. You will have experience working in a team and be happy working independently. You will have a focus on quality and a positive, can-do attitude. If you are friendly and outgoing with good communication skills this could be the ideal role for you!
