About the Hospice:

St Giles Hospice is committed to providing care and support to those with a terminal illness and their loved ones, believing in the power of community to positively impact lives.

The opportunity:

As the Regional and Legacy Fundraising Manager, you will play a crucial role in connecting their fundraising team with the beneficiaries of the hospice's services. Reporting to the Interim Head of Fundraising, you will be responsible for managing the Regional Fundraising team, overseeing engagement campaigns, and developing income streams through In Memory and Legacy giving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a diverse engagement plan and portfolio for growth, focusing on voluntary income through relationship management and engagement. Create a strong legacy proposition, including will-writing services for patients and families.
  • Engagement: Bridge the gap between clinical care and lifelong donors by engaging patients, families, and clinical staff in in-memory and Legacy activities.
  • Campaign Delivery: Safely and professionally manage a specified portfolio of Regional and In Memory giving campaigns, from conception to evaluation, maximising engagement opportunities.
  • Leadership & Teamwork: Demonstrate leadership within the fundraising senior management team, overseeing Regional and In Memory fundraising teams. Encourage collaborative working within and outside the organization.
  • Targets and Reporting: Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure income targets are met. Provide monthly and quarterly reporting on performance, supporter movement, and activities.
  • Supporter Journeys and Engagement: Develop supporter care journeys, ensuring an excellent experience that increases retention rates and maximises fundraising potential.

About You:

We are seeking a dynamic professional with an excellent record in leadership and teamwork, event delivery, and financial management. You will have experience in individual giving, legacy, and marketing, bringing a strategic approach to achieve development and financial targets. You will be known for planning and executing diverse events, ensuring a strong focus on GDPR and compliance. Most importantly, you will be an ambassador and advocate for the Hospice. St Giles welcomes those with transferable skills from a broader fundraising background or similar sector who would love to work in a role like this.

If this has sparked your interest, and you are ready to be part of a team that values kindness, teamwork, compassion, and community, then contact Priya Vencatasawmy at Charity People. Due to the sensitive nature of the role, we are accepting applications on a rolling basis, which means the role can close at any stage, so please do reach out if this impacts you in any way.

Closing Date: Rolling basis
First Stage Interviews: W/C Monday 26th February
