Position Summary
Here at Nestlé Purina we are recruiting for an experienced Regional Customer Facing Quality Manager. This role will be based at our Gatwick offices and is a fantastic opportunity to work across different markets, including the UK, Ireland, Nordics, and the Netherlands. This role is responsible for supporting the Nestlé Purina Europe Quality Vision through driving Regional Quality initiatives and improvements from ex-factory to retailer point of sale to maximise the quality of our products and delight customers, shoppers and consumers.

A day in the life of a Regional Customer Facing Quality Manager
It’s fair to say this is a varied role that will see you work with a wide range of stakeholders at a local, regional and category level driving key initiatives and delivering results through cross functional teams.
Other key responsibilities include:
Drive Nestlé Purina Europe Quality standards mindset and competencies through the Supply Chain (Distribution Centres, Co-Packing, Transport, Sales and Customers) emphasising the role everyone can play in contributing to the quality of our products.- Tailor and deliver relevant training on Nestlé Purina Europe Quality Standards to key internal and external stakeholders to ensure understanding and implementation.
- Coordinate Quality Monitoring Scheme activities to measure performance across the Supply Chain. Organise verification / audit programmes to confirm implementation and identify gaps and opportunities to improve.
- Capture and communication of all relevant Supply Chain Quality KPI’s. Highlight opportunities, issues, and associated actions to improve to Local and Regional Management and Nestlé Purina Petcare Europe
- Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement in reducing quality defects within the Supply Chain.
- Coordination of the traceability of our products through the end-to-end supply chain.
- Build strong relationships internally with Sales and externally with customers on how to improve quality standards for mutual benefit.
- Management of Retailer Complaints, analysis, root causing and actions to improve.
- Support in the event of crisis / quality incidents.
- Actively manage regional ISO 9001 certification processes
- Work closely with the Regional Consumer Engagement Quality Manager to manage all elements of quality across the end-to-end supply chain
- Represent Nestlé Purina Northern Region in key internal forums.
What will make you successful?
To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in Continuous improvement problem solving methodologies. You will demonstrate evidence of training and coaching to develop capabilities across the business relating to quality and be able to influence and showcase your leadership experience to inspire and develop people enabling them to be the best they can be.
Graduated to degree level or equivalent within a Food Science, Science or Engineering specialism.- At least 5 years of professional experience in Quality Management in the Food Industry, ideally with experience in Supply Chain and/or Factory environment
- Experience of leading or participating in Quality Audits of factories of Distribution Centres
- Understanding of the auditing process (3rd Party, Internal or ISO)
- Have a working knowledge of HACCP, ISO 9001 and FSC 22000 standards.
- Proven track record in driving key initiatives and delivering results through cross functional teams
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of SAP and management and analysis of data
