WORKING PATTERN:Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at our London office.
About this opportunity
We currently have a phenomenal opportunity for a Regional Director to lead, coach and inspire the performance of the SME relationship management teams and their line managers in London & East England and representing Lloyds Banking Group on behalf of Business & Commercial Banking (BCB).
As Regional Director, you'll own the delivery of the SME customer proposition in London & East England, and you'll cultivate a values-led and customer centric focus within your teams whilst also enabling franchise growth through the acquisition of high value prospective customers. The strategy for Trading Sectors is to grow & deepen our franchise across SME and aligns to the Group’s, BCB’s & Relationship Management’s priorities of Grow, Focus & Change.
There is unprecedented change in the banking sector brought about by shifts in technology, our customers’ changing preferences and the evolving regulatory environment. Adapting, innovating, and responding at pace ensures we'll continue to be the best bank for our customers. The right candidate will need to be able to an advocate change and be willing to embrace new ways of working for the benefit of the customers, colleagues, and the Group.
Your accountabilities will include:

• To develop and lead on a SME business plan, managing and coaching a team of SME Area Directors to bring the whole of the bank to their client base.
• Develop the capability of Line Managers (ADs) & their teams to support them in all aspects of their work, specifically developing their own area plans to achieve the aspirations of the business.
• Promoting SME and the wider Relationship Management business across communities in London & East England. Developing a high external profile, inspiring an environment which allows the team to maximise growth and opportunity.
• Delivering in accordance with the standards, behaviours, and ethics of LBG and ensuring that all lending and contingent liabilities meet the bank’s credit policy.

• Previous financial services sector scale leadership experience.
• Developing your people through high quality coaching and mentoring. Being skilled at giving quality feedback to inspire colleagues to perform to the best of their ability.
• Communicating with impact to successfully lead change, develop and cultivate relationships with senior partners whilst building an inclusive environment with high levels of trust and integrity.
• Leading others within successful, customer centric teams where your leadership role models your integrity, motivation, and personal responsibility.
• Embedding and delivering customer proposition and strategy to achieve the goals of Trading Sectors and Relationship Management.
• Risk, Compliance and Regulation - experience in the effective and appropriate management of risk to anticipate, identify, assess, handle, and raise appropriately.
