We are looking for a Regional Engagement Lead (North and East) to lead engagement activity by inspiring and motivating a team of supporter focused professionals who deliver income and fantastic experiences for this incredible life saving charity.
As the Regional Engagement Lead you will lead engagement activity for the North and East region. This covers Berwick-upon-Tweed to Burnham-on-Crouch, including inland areas from Northumberland, Yorkshire, East Midlands down to Buckinghamshire and Essex (applicants must live within the region). This role can be home based with extensive travel across the North East and East Coast region.
The Role
You will be leading the team made of the Fundraising and Partnerships Lead, Marketing and Visits Lead, Retail Lead, Senior Community Manager, and Community Manager. As part of the Regional Leadership Team, you will provide leadership, guidance, vision and direction to ensure your region delivers its core service.
You will ensure that supporters, donors, volunteers and the public have a great experience and feel valued whenever they interact with the charity so that they join and stay with them, advocate for them and feel part of the family.
The Candidate
We are looking for a visionary, natural leader who loves to inspire people.
Perhaps you've worked in a variety of fundraising leadership roles in areas such as community fundraising, charity retail and/or partnerships in other charities or organisations. Or, you may have been a Head of Fundraising in a local charity.
We are looking for experience in:
Extensive people leadership and of engaging supporters, volunteers and the general public in order to generate funds
leading field-based teams
Being part of a senior leadership team, working in a matrix style management organisation
Delivering and achieving a regional strategy with the flexibility to travel throughout the region
The ability to execute and deliver income targets, appropriately managing expenditure, increasing engagement and supporter conversions, cultivating relationships and experience of diversifying income streams for fundraising, retail and visitable assets
