Reporting to the Operational Director the Regional Operations Manager will oversee multiple Hub or Centre locations within a specific geographic area. This role will include managing operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, overseeing staff, implementing sales strategies, maintaining customer relationships, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies through a team of Hub and Centre Managers.
This Regional Operations Manager will work closely with the National Key Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Key Account Executive and Purchasing Manager to ensure the protection and future of development of our business.
Location: The role is field based, covering the South East (i.e., Spalding, Peterborough, Downham Market, East Dereham, Norwich, Cambridge, Bishop Stortford, Letchworth, Hatfield, Ipswich, Bury St Edmonds, Colchester, Great Yarmouth).
Skills & experience
- Experience Commercial Tyre Industry (desirable)
- Experience as a Regional Manager in a B2B Environment (Essential)
- Able to plan develop and implement strategy to achieve agreed organisational goals.
- Ability to lead and inspire a regional team, set clear goals, and drive performance.
- Commercial acumen, demonstrating an ability to focus on profitability over turnover.
- Ability to spot trends and interrogate data.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to communicate with clarity, consistency, and confidence.
- Has a sensitive and diplomatic manner when managing and interacting with clients/stakeholders.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and build effective relationships with others.

- Knowledge of industry regulations and ensuring compliance in all Regional Operations.

- Willingness to travel within the region to oversee operations and meet with customers.

Key accountabilities
- Supervising and managing the operations of multiple service locations within the designated region. Ensuring that services are executed efficiently, effectively, and in line with company standards.
- Leading and guiding a team of Hub Managers, Centre Managers and Technicians.
- To provide constant training and evaluation of employees to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Collaborating with the sales team to identify new business opportunities, nurture existing client relationships, and secure contracts with commercial clients.
- Monitoring financial metrics and performance indicators for the region. Managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue while ensuring profitability targets are met.
- Attend customer meetings both in person and virtually.
- Ensure the delivery of service in line with specific customer Service Level Agreements.
- Lead the way in offering solutions to customers.
- Ensuring adherence to industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies across all locations. Promoting a culture of safety awareness among employees
- Develop inter-departmental relations within Central Tyre and the wider ETEL Group.
- Attend internal meetings and actively contribute to the overall business strategy.
- Undertake project work or additional responsibilities as and when required by Sales Director and Operational Director.
