Illuminate Care Group is excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity for a dynamic Registered Service Manager. This role offers the chance to lead and shape innovative Supported Accommodation services for 16 to 18 year olds transitioning from child services. Our ethos for our Semi-Independent Living Services focuses on fostering young peoples development towards living independently, enhancing their social skills, and preparing them for further education and employment. This position not only champions independence but significantly impacts young lives.
Your New Role:
As the Registered Service Manager, you will be at the heart of Illuminate Care Groups mission, leading a number of small, Supported Accommodation properties. Your role will be instrumental in driving the delivery of high-quality, personalised support, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for young people. This is a unique chance to be involved from the ground up, shaping the services and making a profound impact on the lives of young people preparing for the next step in their lives.
With the support of a Supernumerary Team Leader, your leadership will be instrumental in the expansion and development of new services across Doncaster, aligning with our ambitious growth plans. Eventually managing up to 10 Semi-Independent Living properties, supporting the journey of 4-5 children per home.
Being involved from the beginning you will play a pivotal role, including the recruitment of your own team, ensuring a commitment to diversity and inclusivity within our workforce, as well as leading the assessments of young people joining our service, setting a strong, supportive foundation for their journey with us.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Vision: Provide strategic direction, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compassionate service environment.
Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, maintaining high standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a skilled team, fostering a culture of innovation and dedication.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build robust relationships with young people, their families, external agencies, and community partners.
Financial Management: Manage budgets effectively, ensuring resource management and financial sustainability.
About You:
Passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives.
Proven experience in leadership within social care, ideally within supported living or children’s services.
A management qualification at Level 5 or equivalent, with a willingness to advance.
Excellent knowledge of the regulatory landscape, including Ofsted standards and safeguarding procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to inspire and lead teams while fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
