Job description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to work as part of our team at our Moultrie Road service, Rugby.

1 x Full-time position available - Monday to Friday, 9am -5pm and part of an on call rota.

Moultrie Road provides a 7 bedded, 24 hour staffed nursing service offering rehabilitation and support to people with severe mental illness. Individuals can be supported to move on into more independent accommodation with the option of move on into our CQC registered Supported Living Service. All our CQC services aim to support people to achieve maximum independence, and to move on to more independent accommodation. We believe in a person-centred approach and the involvement of individuals in all aspects of their support.

How you will make a difference as a Registered Mental Health Nurse:

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse I work according to the Nursing & Midwifery Council code and relevant professional guidelines as a named nurse and key worker.

Under the direction of the Registered Manager/Management Team, I work as part of an integrated team delivering high quality recovery focussed care and interventions to individuals who use our services.

I provide the role and function of named nurse, offering nursing interventions in a wide variety of clinical, therapeutic and social forms. I am responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, assist in providing psychosocial interventions and activities of daily living.

Who I am?

Some of the essential skills and experience required for this role include:

  • A qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months post registration experience with active NMC validation completed.
  • I adhere to NMC code of conduct and professional practices and maintain registration with NMC.
  • I have relevant experience of working with Mental Health needs with sound clinical reasoning skills.
  • I have working knowledge and understanding of Mental Health issues and the ability to recognise the indicators of deteriorating Mental Health.
  • I have working knowledge and understanding of current legislation, such as the Mental Health Act, DoLS and the Mental Capacity Act.
  • I am able to deliver a range of treatments /interventions in a person-centered and non-judgmental manner.
  • I am able to demonstrate flexibility, creativity and positive risk taking when developing support packages/care plans.
  • Appointments will be made at the bottom of the salary banding
