Due to a growth in service we have an exciting opportunity for a strong and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Inpatients team as a Staff Nurse. You will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary Inpatient team, assessing, planning and delivering care based on individual patient needs. This role is ideally suited to a Registered Nurse who is completely patient focused, with a proven ability to provide healthcare at its best and would like to progress their career in a clinical environment that promotes staff development. Experience in surgical nursing is desirable but not essential.
This is a 37.5 hour per week contract working 3 shifts per week between Monday – Sunday 07:30 – 20:00 or 19:30 – 08:15 on a rota basis
Role Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions, working within the NMC code of conduct
- Assess, plan and deliver patient care from admission to discharge
- Support and act as role model for junior staff, promoting a learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of patient care.
- Promote and initiate innovation and new ideas in methods of care delivery and effective use of resources, direct resource planning, ensuring maximum utilisation of skills and knowledge.
Person Specification:
- Qualified Nurse with current NMC PIN
- Post-registration clinical experience
- Be confident in building relationships with the ability to easily engage with others including consultants, colleagues and patients.
- Knowledge of clinical governance and its application
- Good verbal and written communication skills
