00 per hour Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week The Seekers Centre is an innovative healthcare facility with a focus on chronic pain and associated brain syndromes. Our clinical team includes doctors, nurses and allied health providers. We combine evidence-based medical treatment with Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) therapies and innovative approaches to whole-person care.
Our patients and staff enjoy a caring and supportive work environment in a green eco-clinic that promotes healing and wellness. Our unique integrative approach incorporates regular use of the Seekers Method, a series of techniques used to identify and treat hidden scars in the nervous system that act as pain generators. You will be trained to use these techniques, but you will invest additional time in your own professional development.
This is a rare opportunity to have a major role in patient care. We are investing in software and staff that will allow us to collect and analyze data for clinical research. Summary of Position We are seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care and coordinate the delivery of chronic pain medical treatments and other as required.
The knowledge and skills we are looking for include:. Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Certification or experience in IV insertion or treatment is an asset.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with patients and staff. Be an active participant in clinical and administrative team meetings. Ability to learn and perform clinical procedures with confidence.
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow procedures. Experience working with EMR systems, MS word and proficient typing skills. Clinical background in chronic pain, rehabilitation, neurology, or related areas is an asset.
Demonstrated interest in a healthy lifestyle, integrative medicine, or self-care. Tendency to thrive in a dynamic, changing work environment. Genuine concern and care for patients and an ability to motivate and inspire others Salary will be based on individual training and experience.
