The Opportunity

Does being part of a West End practice reopening excite you?

Play a crucial role and help us shape our beautiful Bloomsbury practice!

Working closely with our Lead Vet, this is a blank canvas with real potential to make your mark.

We have everything we need to provide exceptional care including a spacious reception, separate cat / dog wards, in-house lab, theatre and two consult rooms. We also have access to CT Imaging just down the road in at Medivet Clerkenwell.

Medivet Bloomsbury is a lovely clinic, situated in an area of rich culture, known for beautiful Georgian architecture and the home of Charles Dickens!

We take pride in our collaborative approach and have created clinical communities where vets and nurses with a shared interest connect and collaborate on a regular basis.

To support you in your role, we also offer various nurse consult training and internal CPD including building your confidence, our Nutritional Ambassador Programme or developing your consulting skills.

Role Accountabilities

Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That’s the care for our patients, our clients and for each other – we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.
In this role you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
