Summary

My high-profile utilities client is looking for an Regulations Submission Manager to join their team Based at their Warwick offices on a hybrid basis (2-3 days a week on site) on an initial 6-month contract with chance of extensions.

Description:

• You will be responsible for helping to build and challenge the investment plan we take to Ofgem for our next price control submission.
  You will be a strong collaborator able to quickly build effective partnerships with others around the business at all levels. You will be a self-starter, with the ability to influence and challenge internal and external senior stakeholders, gain credibility quickly, inspire trust and confidence.
  You will be able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to own and proactively manage external relationships.
  You will communicate in a clear and structured manner and articulate complex issues clearly and concisely, in writing and verbally, with excellent attention to detail.
  You will have proven analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as relevant experience of managing regulatory or commercial issues.
  With an understanding of economic and engineering process principles, you will have a track record of delivering solutions to complex problems, major objectives and projects.
  

Key skills required:

• This is NOT a contract or commercial manager - this is a Business Partnering role to understand what the requirements are for the area's investment plans - and challenging them, why, what etc and then turning these requirements in to investment plans to take to Ofgem for our next price control submission.
• Need to be mindful of the Regulatory Framework Requirements - understanding what NG has today and writing convincing arguments to OFGEM as to what we need and why with supporting evidence.
• Pull together presentations for OFGEM and other bodies - articulating challenges for example.
• Must have very strong stakeholder skills - quickly building relationships.
• Ideally and experience in utilities specifically with DNO or Transmission Operator Owners
• Ideally coming from OFGEM or OFWAT
• Energy/Utility backgrounds
• Or Strong Government bodies such as Home Office, MoJ, MoD etc
• Any understanding of engineering processes
• Demonstrable PM skills - where have they delivered complex projects under time precious circumstances.
• Must have strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.
