Job description

A member of the Legal team, responsible for supporting the Senior Legal and Regulatory Counsel to ensure that NPL operates in line with its external regulatory, and internal policy requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the completion of NPL’s Regulatory Compliance Register and, once complete, maintaining and developing as required by either changes in regulation and or NPL’s strategic and operational needs
  • Provide advice and supporting the ESG Directorate and the wider business’s regulatory and compliance processes
  • Support the creation and implementation of new and improved processes to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Identify regulatory issues within NPL and working with colleagues to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation
  • Identify export control compliance issues and raising these to the business, ensuring applications are made where necessary and supporting those applications
  • Support NPL’s insurance renewal process working both with insurance brokers and colleagues and responding to and resolving insurance related issues
  • Develop knowledge, skills and experience associated with assigned areas  of activity and staying up to date with relevant regulatory developments and legislation
  • Develop and delivering training across NPL in relation to compliance where appropriate
Responsible for taking reasonable duty of care for Health & Safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work and always follow direct instructions given with regards to Health & Safety
