Job description

In Rotherham Adult Social Care, we are proud of our vision to enable every resident to live their best lives, with the people they value, close to home and with access to the right support at the right time.  To achieve this, four themes underpin our vision: wellbeing and independence, informed choices, connected to people, my support, my way.

Adult social care is about supporting people to live their best lives, by helping people to live the life they want to live, in the way they want to live it. We follow a ‘strengths-based’ principle looking at ‘what’s strong, rather than what’s wrong’ to ensure we deliver the best outcomes for people.

To ensure we can make our vision a reality, we need to ensure we get the basics right.  Our new Regulatory Assurance Lead will be central to how we will ensure regulatory compliance across both our social work teams and in-house provider services.  You will ensure that our services are delivering the expected standards for Care Quality Commission (CQC) assurance.

You will lead all aspects of inspection preparedness for the service and ensure a culture of continuous improvement is embedded in both practice and hands on care provision, to demonstrate positive impacts for our residents and communities.  This includes how we invest, develop and cultivate our workforce to ensure compliance with mandatory training, development of new roles and broader workforce planning.

You will be responsible for delivering improvement and innovation which provides a robust response to regulation, harnessing learning and insights to further influence and achieve positive outcomes.   You will understand the legislative landscape for adult social care and its partners, with a focus on assurance and best practice.

You should have experience of working in regulated services or organisations, be forward thinking and focussed on quality assurance, which drives improvements not only for the people we serve but also our wider communities as a place.  You will provide leadership and supervision to colleagues within your team, supporting the Head of Professional Practice in contributing to effective and efficient services.

If you are a compassionate, innovative, and resilient individual with the drive to deliver ever improving performance outcomes for the people of Rotherham, then this is the role for you. In return, we can offer considerable professional growth and development within an environment that is both supportive and encouraging.

We offer an attractive benefits package and a commitment to ensuring that you achieve a healthy work-life balance and opportunities for flexible working arrangements. We also operate a hybrid model of office-based working and working from home. You will be entitled to a generous annual leave allowance and the local government pension scheme.

We value investment in our workforce and throughout your employment you will be supported to further develop and progress in your career.
