Job description

Contract: Fixed term contract until 06 January 2025 (maternity cover), working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)

Salary: GBP35,225 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.

Location: Birmingham or Nottingham (The role will be based at the office base listed; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week)

Want to be part of a team of creative, exciting, diverse leaders who are on a mission to change the way the cultural sector works?

You will be responsible for liaison with museums which are involved (or interested in becoming involved) in the partnerships, investments and programmes which form part of the Cultural Investment Fund ('CIF') across the Midlands.

Your primary focus will be providing advice and information to museums on CIF programmes and in particular on the Museum Estate and Development fund (MEND), a capital programme that focuses on the strategic repair and maintenance of museums across the country.

You may also be required to liaise with libraries in relation to the Libraries Improvement Fund (LiF), which will enable libraries to undergo refurbishment to transform the service they are able to offer the public.

While this will focus on those organisations in the Arts Council England area you are based in, you will also provide similar support on some occasions to organisations elsewhere in the country, working with colleagues in other areas to provide a joined-up national service.

You will be the key contact point in our dealings with the organisations you directly manage and will play a key role in recommending to your Senior Relationship Manager what investment we should commit to them - including all funding decisions and strategic development programmes and initiatives.
