So. Here’s the deal. We’re called Compex IT, a growing IT services company based in Birmingham. And due to continued growth, we’re looking for a Remote Helpdesk ITSupport Engineer to be part of the team - this role is 100% remote/working from home-based.

But it’s got to be someone special.

Duties

We're all about making our clients lives easier using technology here at Compex IT and you being as much of a part of their team as their own staff is extremely important to us. It's what separates us from the crowd!

  • Your main task will be providing 1st/2nd line phone/remote support helping them with their day-to-day issues from your own home office (this role is 100% remote based)
  • You'll also check and remediate issues raised by our remote management tool (RMM)
  • You'll need to have the right balance of technical ability, and a big smiley face. Lots of that "can do" attitude that people love.

Skills and Experience

First and foremost, you'll need to be passionate and have extremely strong communication skills but you'll also need the following technical skills:

  • At least 2 years' experience in an IT support environment with experience gained within a managed service provider/IT service environment is highly advantageous.
  • Strong Windows background
  • Strong Computer/hardware configuration and installation experience
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint, Teams) administration, troubleshooting, setup
  • Excellent networking knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of cyber security risks and mitigation techniques

You'll also need to have:

  • This role is based remotely so you must be happy to work from home (Ideally, you would have done this for a period of time already) and have a dedicated space at home to work from.
  • Experience with job/ticket management system
  • A full UK driver's licence
  • Whilst this is a home-based role you'll need to based within 20 miles of Birmingham to be considered for this role
