The role of the Remote Product Specialist on the team will be to support the launch of a new insomnia product across the UK. Within their assigned role the Remote Product Specialist will be responsible for bringing about an understanding of the function of the product and its data in helping patients with Insomnia. The Remote Product Specialist will support UK advocacy and formulary deployment and marketing follow-up opportunities from digital contacts. The Remote Product Specialist will be able to intelligently identify the appropriate engagement channel for the Healthcare professionals (HCPs), gain consent and apply data and insight to drive a smart, informed and value-based conversation with customers.   

Responsibilities    

  • Coverage of an agreed region or territory while identifying and developing HCP value-based interactions using approved materials/media, along with company data and insights to proactively interact across primary and secondary care whilst ensuring alignment to national and regional launch strategy 
  • Will ensure interactions are delivered with competency and quality building a strong differentiated approach to customer interactions to establish the brand and the company 
  • To create, adapt and deliver on a well-defined business plan within budget and agreed timelines 
  • Use of Veeva Customer Relationship Management system to support planning, targeting, segmentation, sequential selling, territory analysis and administration to the desired level of quality 
  • Educate healthcare professionals on the safe, appropriate, and effective use of the product to ensure optimal patient outcomes 
  • Identify HCPs with a special interest in Insomnia to support the advocacy of our customer’s product and assess their importance to the local business 

Essential Requirements    

  • Fulfils legal requirements for medical reps in the country e.g., ABPI 
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Life Sciences preferred 
  • Valid driver’s license  
  • Current relationships with HCPs with an interest in Insomnia, including Primary Care GPs, GPs with special interest, Nurses and Nurse Practitioners, and Psychiatrists and Neurologists will be a distinct advantage 
  • Experience in applying a multi-channel approach including the use of e-detailing, remote call applications and other digital approaches e.g., omnichannel 

Desired Requirements    

  • Product launch experience desirable, especially in GP, CNS and/ or neurology
