Position Overview
As a Technical Product Marketing Specialist at Global Inkjet Systems, you will be responsible for developing and creating product and marketing content to promote GIS products that support GIS sales and our partners sales efforts. This role requires a combination of thinking from a customer’s perspective, building a deep understanding of our products and target market, and creativity. The role will have a high focus on technical marketing and creation of content to support product sale. Reports to the Commercial Director with a strong link to sales management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Marketing Collateral Creation:
- Develop technical, sales and marketing content, including product collateral, features and benefits explanations, web content, case studies, blogs, etc.
- Develop sales playbooks and the sales tools and resources necessary to effectively sell our products.
2. Product Positioning and Messaging:
- Create compelling product positioning and messaging that is aligned with target audiences.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products, features, and benefits, with hands-on product involvement.
3. Go-to-Market Communication:
- Create and implement go-to-market communications for new product launches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales and engineering development, to ensure successful product releases.
4. Market Research:
- Consolidate market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, using data-driven insights to refine product communication strategies.
5. Campaign and on-line event management:
- Create, execute and coordinate demand generation campaigns, including email marketing, webinars, and social media.
- Monitor campaigns to maximise lead generation - track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) with data to assess activity effectiveness.
6. Partnership marketing and communications
- Co-create marketing communications with GIS partners, for both new partnerships and existing partnerships.
- Coordinate activities with GIS partners to ensure balanced and regular communications to the industry, develop 6 month rolling PR plans with each GIS partner.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- Demonstrable experience in marketing or sales in Technical Products and services.
- Extensive marcomms experience, particularly Product Marketing and development of sales tools, including content development and website design.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Campaigns using salesforce.
- Attention to detail, quality, and time management.
- Self-motivated and market / customer focus.
- Knowledge of the inkjet printing sector is a plus.
- Ongoing learning to build skill set.
- Graduate in a relevant discipline, not necessarily marketing specifically.
